"GCBD is grassroots, and the only way we'll reach all the people who need to be reached is if we all become downright evangelical about informing our neighbors how they can protect themselves, their families, and others in their sphere." Delia La Barre, Gulf Coast Barefoot Doctors

News of the group that rallied on Louisiana State Capitol steps concerning Gulf 'oil spill' to impact Tuesday's elections was reported by Keitha Nelson of WAFB CBS 9 Baton Rouge on October 30, 2010.
"'Our fishermen can't fish because they don't want to poison anybody,' said Beverly Armand of Grand Isle." (See OilSpill Youtube below)
"I was crippled when the oil hit the beaches and now my lungs are crippled. They found chemicals in my blood stream," Armand added according to WAFB.
"They’ve said oil is more important than our lives and children,” she said of the U.S. government.
“Who’s going to stand up for us if our government doesn’t?”
