Celtics fall short to the Hawks

The Boston Celtics lost to the Atlanta Hawks 93-85 Friday night. The C's led for most of the game up until the 3rd quarter when the Hawks went on an 11-0 run. By the end 4th quarter the Celtics got within 2 points, but it was too late.

Jamal Crawford led the Hawks with 18 points off the bench. Al Horford scored 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Josh Smith also recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Mike Bibby also added 17 points with 7 assists. Joe Johnson was really quiet for the night with 12 points and 7 assists.

Paul Pierce was the leading scorer of the game with 21 points, accompanied with 6 steals. Kendrick Perkins scored 15 points and 14 rebounds, while Rajon Rondo also recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists. Ray Allen added 15 points as well.

The Celtics (25-9) will head up to Canada to face the Toronto Raptors (19-18) at 1 pm on Sunday.
