Bagpipes emitting sounds reminding us of distant winds or wooden recorders evoking placid sensations is one of the signature pieces of Celtic culture. Celtic souls will be glad to learn that Maryland has a series of events that highlight Celtic traditions. One of these events is thanks to the Celtic Society of Southern Maryland.
Festivals that celebrate Celtic origins will be taking place on April 26 at the Patterson Jefferson Park in St Leonard. However to celebrate Women's day, on March 8, a concert by Galician Celtic Musician, Carlos NuÑez, will celebrate traditional Celtic music with modern beats. Nuñez will be touring the US and Europe with his new album Inter-Celtic Leonardtown, MD. According to the Celtic Society of Southern Maryland it is the 36th year celebrating Celtic festival. Plenty of events and exciting activities for the family are planned.
