Celtic composer Ashley Davis headlines benefit for Zumix on March 13

With Saint Patrick’s Day just around the corner, make it a Celtic night out with Celtic composer Ashley Davis in support of a child’s music centered aspirations. Ashley Davis will take the stage to benefit Zumix and to offer a sneak peek of her upcoming CD release, ‘Night Travels’ on Thursday March 13 at 7 p.m. The evening will take place at Zumix, 260 Sumner Street in East Boston, Massachusetts. Rich, deep, soulful, and mesmerizing, Ashley Davis delicately blends Celtic and bluegrass music into vibrant and reflective storytelling in her new CD, ‘Night Travels.’ ‘Night Travels’ has several stirring collaborations with artists such as Grammy-nominated, multi-instrumentalist John Doyle, Irish folk singer and harpist Moya Brennan, renowned fiddlers Eileen Ivers, and Sara Watkins.

Ashley will take the stage with harpist Cormac Debarra, fiddler Duncan Wickel, and guitarist Joseph Carmichael, will take the stage for an evening of live music with all proceeds dedicated to the Zumix organization.

Zumix is a youth centered organization that began as a songwriting program. Today, it holds in-school, afterschool, and summer events throughout the year supported by Boston residents. Songwriting, radio, audio technology, and performance are among the award winning programs offered by Zumix for youth ages seven through eighteen.
