Celine handbags for resort 2011 are true to the luxury design house's simple and elegant tradition. Celine is showing a 1960's and 1970's inspired line for resort 2011 which includes simple clutches and warm weather totes that are perfect for a mid-winter get-a-way to a warmer climate. The resort 2011 collection from Celine is also a glimpse into what the design house will bring handbag Fashionistas for Spring 2011.
Celine's resort 2011 collection focused mainly on two vintage trends that are moving from Fall into Spring; the 1960's trend and the 1970's trend. Celine's handbags seems to be more in line with the 1970's trend with simple lines and longer shoulder straps.
Celine created several linen handbags and totes. The collection included a simple envelope flap shoulder bag in beige linen with black leather trim. The handbag fit right into the warm weather, 1970's looks from Celine's resort-wear. Celine also showed linen totes which were the right size for travel to a beach location. Celine's larger totes were linen while the medium sized totes are either linen or black leather.
Clutches appeared to be the handbag of choice for Celine's resort collection. The centerpiece of the collection is a bright yellow, medium sized clutch with shoulder strap, that can easily be worn to the office or to lunch. Smaller clutches were shown with Celine's collection of mini-dresses and skirts. The small clutches were shown in pale pink, black and orange. Celine's small clutches seem more appropriate for dinner and can only fit keys, lipstick and a very small wallet.
Resort 2011 has given Fashionistas a glimpse into what Spring 2011 will bring to store shelves. The yellow Celine clutch with shoulder strap, is a standout piece and would make a good investment to wear now as well as throughout 2011. Yellow fits into the upcoming candy colored trends and the simple, classic lines of the Celine clutch blend easily with the continuing vintage trends and minimalism trend.
