Singer Celine Dion welcomed twin boys on Saturday. The twins, who are fraternal, were born a bit early, but are healthy. Dion, 42, is reportedly resting comfortably after the birth.
Celine Dion gave birth to twin boys. The twins weighed in at at 5 lbs., 4 oz., and 5 lbs., 10 oz. "Celine, René and their son René-Charles are thrilled," Dion's rep told People Magazine.
Celine Dion's doctor revealed that the babies will stay in incubators for a few days due to their premature birth. However, the birth, via c-section, went as planned and the babies were born with quite a bit of hair.
"Celine is resting now and they plan to discuss what to name the boys when she wakes up," the rep adds. "René-Charles has been to the hospital to visit his brothers and is just so excited they are here."
Celine Dion, opened up to Oprah earlier this year about her struggle to get pregnant. The singer, who had one son already with husband, Rene, wanted more children, and suffered a miscarriage in the process.
Celine Dion's pregnancy later in life, is a growing trend among Hollywood. Actresses such as Kelly Preston and Gina Davis are giving birth to happy healthy babies well into their 40's and 50's.
