Celine Dion talks ‘My Heart Will Go On’: ‘A classic that will live forever’

Celine Dion might be tired of singing My Heart Will Go On from the Titanic soundtrack but she knows the will be around forever. The entertainer was talking about the remarks made by Kate Winslet in March who is growing weary of the franchise being so popular years after the movie. While Celine Dion appears to empathize, on Monday she made an interesting point about the song that doesn’t tire for most listeners.

"My Heart Will Go On gave me the opportunity to be associated with a classic that will live forever," said Celine Dion on the Today show. "If I just count how many times I've sung it, maybe it'll get me sick. If she [Kate Winslet] feels tired just hearing it, and, like, throwing up, I'm glad she was not the one singing it."

Kate Winslet won’t be remembered for the crystal clear voice nor is she going to be part of the history of the soundtrack. Being that Celine Dion was the vocals behind the popular song, for decades to come it will be Dion's voice who people will instantly recognize.

Of course Kate Winslet will be seen in Titanic. Her recent reflection on her performance and the movie itself, might not have been the best idea. People will still love the movie and the music, but might consider Kate’s remarks out of line for the memory of the film.
