Celine Dion's twins were originally triplets. The french singer and her husband Rene were overjoyed by the news they were having twins, but before there was a moment of heartbreak.
Celine Dion gave birth to healthy twins, Nelson and Eddy last month. However, the twins were originally triplets.
"We thought we had triplets, but sadly on the next visit to the doctor's, we only heard two heartbeats," Celine Dion, 42, told Hello! Magazine.
"That little baby decided to leave the space for the two others and to say goodbye to us," revealed Dion. "It happened very early during the pregnancy, but still, it shocks you."
However, Celine Dion has her hands full with the twins, and other son Rene Jr. "[Motherhood] is going well," she says. "I don't get a lot of sleep ... For sure I'm tired, but that's what I want. And it's only for the first month or so," said the mother of three.
Celine Dion also revealed that her twins are already showing signs of personality. "One is more gutsy than the other," she says. "Nelson seems to have a little stronger personality right now. He's the tougher of the two."
Celine continued, "They are fraternal twins, but they look very alike. Nelson weighed more at the birth, but the doctor told us in a week or two, they're going to be the same."

I've heard of that happening when a woman gets pregnant and she may have twins very very early in the pregnancy but the body breaks it down and turns it back into protein. Usually when that happens the woman doesn't even know she was carrying a second fetus because its gone by the time she goes for her first check up. That is crazy that it happened to Celine during her pregnancy.
