For the first time ever, superstar Celine Dion will appear on "The Dr. Oz Show", set to air this coming Wednesday, November 6, and according to the press release on Monday, the powerhouse discusses how she kept the negative side of show business away, as she promotes her new album, “Love Me Back to Life”.
Celine Dion is in New York to publicize the release of her eleventh English-language album. She recently appeared at the Edison Ballroom on October 29 as part of Pandora Presents Celine Dion, a free concert, which went to fans that added her station on Pandora radio. This week the stellar singer sits down with Dr.Oz to talk about her latest album, parenting, and her struggle with infertility, a health issue that affects millions of couples.
Celine Dion considers the “show business world a yes place,” and explains to Dr. Oz how the 45-year-old mega-star prevented the negative side of the industry from influencing her life.
I think the fact that I didn't really want to be part of the show business world, helped me to be healthy and to be alive. I think show business is a wonderful place for what you need to take from it: the fans, the adrenaline on stage, the pleasure, the kick that you have from traveling, and discovering the world.
Amid the interview with Dr. Oz, Celine Dion likened the music industry to a drug, one that requires discretion.
It gives you a lot of privileges in life as well. If you're fortunate, you make money. It can buy homes and toys and medicine, and you can support your family, so there are a lot of things. But also, you have to know that it is a yes place. It is a drug that you need to know how much to take and when to take it.
The illustrious Celine Dion will appear with Dr. Oz on Wednesday, November 6; check local listings for airtimes. Celine Dion’s album is available Tuesday, November 5.
