UPDATE (12/20/09): Just in from People Magazine: Foul Play Not Suspected in Brittany Murphy's Death. -No cause of death has yet been determined, but according to coroner's Capt. John Kades, "Foul play is not suspected at this time because there were no outward signs of trauma or other injuries."
Shockingly, Hollywood has lost another shining star. Brittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ.
Starting at 14 years old, Brittany landed her acting job as Brenda Drexell in the series Drexell's Class. There was much success following that series including successful films such as; Clueless (1995), Girl, Interrupted (1999), Don't Say a Word (2001), 8 Mile (2002), Just Married with Ashton Kutcher (2003), Uptown Girls with Dakota Fanning (2003) and Sin City (2005). A representative for Murphy, Nicole Perna, said in a statement to TMZ.com Sunday afternoon, "In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support. It is their wish that you respect their privacy."
