Keeping jewelry to a minimum, Diane Lane, 49, of “Under the Tuscan Sun” fame, looked lovely in her cream and black printed sleeveless dress. She accessorized with pewter metallic belt and clutch bag and criss-crossed black sandals.

Rose McGowan too wore black and white, a gorgeous tiered white dress, teamed with a black and white oversized clutch and black loafers, while Constance Zimmer’s black and white floral dress incorporated a cream background. Singer Jill Scott’s black and white outfit featured a snazzy black and white striped jacket, teamed with black slacks (hope that foot gets better!).

Indian actress of “Slumlord Millionaire” fame, Freida Pinto, also looked amazing in her lacy candy pink pencil skirt and pale pink organza blouse, which she accessorized with unusual black and white pumps. Russian model Irina Shayk too stood out in her strawberry ice cream pink sheath.

Academy award-winning Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong'o chose a strapless oxblood and white cocktail dress for the occasion, accessorizing with silver pumps and evening clutch. Her mom Dorothy Nyong'o shone in her gold lace V-necked sheath.

Katie Lowes and Trish Regan both chose a very verdant emerald green, while Bellamy Young preferred a lovely jade hue for the brunch. Katharine McPhee chose the palest mint green for her pretty pantsuit.

Actress Jayne Atkinson looked well turned out in her black ensemble with chevron knit scarf and the artsy and colorful sheath on Julia Louis-Dreyfus wasn’t bad either! So, there were a lot of interesting outfits on celebs at the DC brunch today…

This also happened to be the 21st annual Garden Brunch to celebrate White House Correspondents Weekend, so its become a long-standing tradition, to invite media, celebrities and politicians. This year the brunch honored two organizations that support veterans and their families, the Dog Tag Bakery (Twitter @DogTagBakery) and Blue Star Families (Twitter @BlueStarFamily).
