Many Art Institute of Atlanta students have been discussing the disappointing turn of events for T.I. and his wife.
On Wednesday of this past week, T.I. whose real name is Clifford Harris, and his wife, "Tiny" Tameka Cottle, were arrested during a traffic stop on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood.
Harris, 29, and Cottle, 35, allegedly possessed a controlled substance, a spokeswoman said. Allegedly police stopped the Maybach, the couple was driving in, because of a "strong odor of marijuana". Though it's been reported that it was during the stop, the odor of marijuana was smelled.
T.I. was recently released from jail, after serving 7 months on a 1 year sentence in regards to felony weapon charges. The arrest occurred while T.I. is on three years probation stemming from the February 2008 weapons case.
Celebrities, namely Ne-Yo another Atlanta artist, have been voicing their opinions in light of the recent events.
According to Hot 107.9, Ne-Yo had a few words for T.I. "T.I. has had many chances — and it's time he gets his act together".
After T.I. was arrested in the drug case, Ne-Yo called him one of the smartest people in the music industry. On Thursday in an interview with The Associated Press, Ne-Yo stated, "I just feel that he makes a lot of poor decisions when it comes to the people that he surrounds himself with".
A Little Background

He was nicknamed "Tip" after his paternal great-grandfather. Kawan "KP" Prather, a record executive, discovered and signed T.I. when he was a teenager. Upon signing with Arista Records subsidiary LaFace Records in 2001, he shortened his name to T.I. out of respect for label mate Q-Tip.
Forbes Magazine announced its first ever Hiphop Cash Kings list early 2007 with list of the top 20 hip hop earning artists for the previous business year. T.I. was listed on their list three times. Pharrell Williams of The Neptunes ( called him "the Jay-Z of the South")

Lab tests on the suspected illegal drugs taken from rapper T.I.'s car, should be completed by Friday, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokeswoman.
Ne-Yo may be one of T.I.’s largest supporters, but the R&B singer/songwriter thinks that his fellow ATLien needs to get his act together.
Ne-Yo says that T.I.’s problems stem from the people around him.
You’ve been given a bunch of different chances. Now is the time to really go, “you know I get it, all right, I get it.”
Ne-Yo Has been under fire for his statements about T.I.
It looks like people have been expressing their disappointment with the R&B singer via Twitter so he’s decided to hit the Twitter folks with his response.
I got nothin' to hide, and you already see that I'll answer whatever. No drama or beef on my end. Nuff said.
...But for now on, if you wanna know if I said something, the internet ain't the proper source. Hit me up on here and ask before you assume.
...Much luv to the people that support T.I. I'M A SUPPORTER of T.I. , I understand your anger.......
...That ain't my stuff to beef with people over nothing. If T.I. or any of his people wanna sit down like men and discuss it, I'm down....
...because I was asked it. Half of y'all speak your opinion whether somebody asks you or not! got no beef wit T.I. or his team....
Should Tiny Take The Charge For TI?
50cent tweeted...."Man T.I. and Tiny done got picked up again for methamphetamines and ecstacy dam man Tiny gotta take that charge. Say it was yours Baby".
We recently did a story on T.I., happy to see him back on the music scene and promoting his new successful movie project "Takers". We're not sure if something more is going on here because, how do you smell marijuana from a moving car, from your own car, unless your stopped next to them? Are police targeting the supposedly reformed rapper? This is very disappointing, if all of this turns out to be true and T.I. and his new wife were up to criminal behavior. Will T.I.'s probation be revoked? What do you think? Let us know here.
