Formerly known as "Wife Swap," ABC takes the sitcom to the celebrity level as it begins a new season on Feb. 26, 2012 at 8 p.m. EST. Just in case that wasn't enough drama, or comedy, depending on which way you see it, Kate Gosselin, ("Kate Plus 8" "Dancing with the Stars") and Kendra Wilkinson ("The Girl Next Door") will be joining the wife swapping line up.
"Celebrity Wife Swap" take moms from one household and puts them in another, very different household. ABC says it “follows mothers in two celebrity families with very different values as they swap lifestyles, children and homes (but not bedrooms), for one week and embark on a journey like no other.”Until it achieved "celebrity" status the swappers appeared to be, almost, like every other family. However as the show went on the producers found families that were so disparate that it almost wasn't funny.
The appearance of Kate Gosselin though raises some questions. Sure, the show has had some unique situations but a single parent swap hasn't been done before. Where is the drama? The teaching the husbands a lesson and your children to appreciate you? Will Kendra be taking on the nanny and how will single mom tackle the idea of marriage again, with NFL player Hank Baskett? Will caring for one child be a walk in the park for this mother of 8?
This latest incarnation of "Celebrity Wife Swap" returns to ABC with some family ties (Tracey Gold), a little bit of rock and roll (Dee Snider), some eye candy (Antonio Sabato Jr.) and a whole lot of flavor (Flavor Flav) as well as getting busy figuring out the mind of Gary Busey. "Celebrity Wife Swap" is not the only celebrity game show in town, look to see Busey and Snider also reliving their glory days on "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice."
