The season two premiere of "Celebrity Wife Swap" features two reality TV moms, Kate Gosselin and Kendra Wilkinson, when the series returns on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, according to a Feb. 21 press release from ABC Television Network. The two mothers of celebrity families trade places for a week long challenge. The episode will air again on Saturday, March, 16, 2013 (8-9 p.m. ET).
"Celebrity Wife Swap" kicks off with "Kate Gosselin / Kendra Wilkinson," featuring reality TV mom Kate Gosselin ("Kate Plus 8") and former Playboy Magazine cover girl Kendra Wilkinson (ABC's "Splash"). The two mothers with opposing values trade households, lifestyles and children (but not bedrooms).
During the first half of the week, they each follow a manual of "household rules," covering everything including parenting, social life, housework and more. In the second half of the week, the rules change and the visiting mommy takes charge and introduces her own set of rules.
At the end of the week the two couples meet for the first time. In a raw, honest and highly-charged exchange of views, the couples will make frank assessments of each another and discuss their experiences, having had a very real taste of what life would be like in someone else's family.
This episode does not feature two couples, as Kate Gosselin is a single mom. Kate and Kendra do not seem to have much in common, but they have both appeared on the ABC hit "Dancing with the Stars."
Kate Gosselin is a well-known reality TV mom who raised her eight children in front of the TV cameras on TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8" and "Kate Plus 8." Viewers watched the children grow and the changes that occurred in the family when Jon and Kate Gosselin divorced. Kate is now a single mother, raising twin girls Cara and Mady (12) and eight-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel. (Kate Plus 8 in Australia - photos) Kate runs an organized household and lives by a rigid set of home rules. She cooks, cleans and shops, all while working to support her family. Kendra Wilkinson is a former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner and a Playboy Magazine cover girl. Kendra is married to former NFL player Hank Basket and lives in Los Angeles. They have a four year old son, Hank IV, aka "Little Hank." Kendra and Hank parent "Little Hank" in a very relaxed style, without any harsh guidelines. Hank loves to pamper his wife by cooking, helping around the house and arranging 'girls night out.' The couple has a full-time housekeeper/nanny, Rosa, who runs the household so that Kendra can relax during the day and enjoy her free time.
Once in Kendra's house, Kate tries to get used to relaxing, a luxury she is unaccustomed to. Meanwhile, Kendra plunges into the chaotic life of a mom caring for eight kids. It's a comic turn of events as Kendra tries to put all the kids to bed while Kate is treated to a girls' night out. As the week progresses, Kendra continues to juggle all of her new responsibilities while Kate relishes her "me" time, far away from household chores and obligations.
