Kendra Wilkinson and Kate Gosselin will swap lives for the show “Celebrity Wife Swap,” The Los Angeles Times reported on Feb. 15. Both Wilkinson and Gosselin have competed on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.”
Gosselin and now ex-husband Jon Gosselin in the reality television show “Jon and Kate Plus 8,” until their divorce in 2009. After their divorce Kate went on to star in “Kate Plus 8.” Single mom Kate Gosselin has twin girls, 12-years old, and sextuplets, three boys and three girls, eight-years- old.
“Celebrity Wife Swap” executive producer Bruce Toms said:
“They’re (Kate and Kendra) both beautiful young women, with very different ways of raising their kids. Kate is very structured, a very controlling person. Kate wakes up every morning and bakes fresh bread for her family. “Kendra didn’t even know what a breadmaker was. It was up to Kendra to follow Kate’s rules.”
Kendra Wilkinson-Basket, one of Hugh Hefner’s former girlfriends who starred in the E! reality show “The Girls Next Door,” married Hank Basket, had a baby, and went on to star in another E! reality show, “Kendra.” Wilkinson has one child, Hank Basket IV. Reportedly Basket is a “hands-on” dad and was there to help Kate every step of the way with his three-year-old son.
Gosselin’s ex-husband Jon Gosselin was recently hit with a huge tax debt of $39,000. Jon Gosselin, a former IT tech, has been unable to find work outside of reality television since his 2009 divorce from Kate Gosselin. Kendra’s husband Hank Basket has been a NFL free agent since being released by the Minnesota Vikings since March 2011.
In addition to “Celebrity Wife Swap,” Wilkinson stars in “Kendra on Top” and will appear on the ABC celebrity diving series, “Splash.” The Gosselin/Wilkinson “Celebrity Wife Swap” episode will premiere on Tuesday, Feb. 26 on ABC at 8:00 p.m. ET.
