The recovery effort for Super Typhoon Haiyan is a slow and tedious process. The Typhoon rocked the Philippines on Nov. 8, 2013. Tens of thousands of locals are deprived of food, shelter, and much needed medical supplies.

According to a Jan. 15, release on Music for Relief.org, a number of mega rock stars in the music industry, are donating some pretty cool, personally autographed items available for purchase via auction bid.

The Blackberry manufacturer, has joined with alternative rock band Linkin Park, for a contest giveaway.

The contest prize is a Porsche design Blackberry Smartphone autographed by the band. The contest entries are processed on Twitter and Facebook. All of the proceeds from the winning bids are donated to the typhoon relief effort.

"Music For Relief" is a non-profit organization working with performers in the music industry. The group sponsors fundraising concerts, auctions, and other humanitarian efforts to raise money and awareness to support the Typhoon Haiyan survivors.

Some of the items available are from bands such as Alice in Chains, System of the Down, Slash of Guns N Roses, Pearl Jam, Green Day and many others.

Paul Simon, Sting, and Celine Dion, is offering concert specials. There are also sports items from LA Lakers, Magic Johnson, and boxer Manny Pacquiao.

For those who are interested, bids are currently accepted. The auction ends on Jan. 23, 2014.
