He is scheduled to undergo surgery on his hip, according to Dr. Drew Pinsky's Twitter: "Jeff Conaway's family has asked me to thank people for the prayers and well wishes. Jeff is awake and stable awaiting surgery on his hip." http://twitter.com/drdrew
Conaway was a patient at the Pasadena Recovery Center when he entered for Season 1 of Celebrity Rehab with copatients Daniel Baldwin, Mary Carey, Joanie "Chyna" Laurer, Jaimee Foxworth, Brigitte Nielsen, Ricco Rodriguez, Jessica Sierra, and Seth "Shifty Shellshock" Binzer, where he checked in for substance abuse problems related to cocaine, alcohol, and opiates.
He returned for Season 2 and entered with co patients Steven Adler, Rodney King, Tawny Kitaen, Nikki McKibbin, Amber Smith, Sean Stewart, Gary Busey, and Seth Binzer (who relapsed and returned).
