Celebrity real estate news! The former home of deceased Playboy model Anna Nicole Smith has been sold. On Jan. 18, 2013, NBC News reported, "Six years after the death of Playboy Playmate and reality-TV star Anna Nicole Smith, her Studio City, Calif., home has sold." The proceeds of the sale, after applicable taxes and just payment for real estate commissions, will go to benefit her daughter Dannielynn according to the the mainstream media outlet.

The house was originally purchased in April 2005 for $1.335 million. At that time, Smith used her birth name Vickie Lynn Marshall to acquire title. One of the bedrooms was decorated for a little girl -- presumably her daughter Dannielynn.

The house, a modest luxury mansion, still has a painting of the dead celebrity hanging in the hallway. NBC News further shared, "Smith’s former home, located at 3646 Avenida Del Sol, Studio City, CA 91604, measures 4,700 square feet and has 5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. The Mediterranean-style home is perched above the city with dominant views from its balcony and pool area."

ABC News further shared the starlet that she died in 2007 of a drug overdose. They said details about the celebrity home sale, including photos they shared on their website, were originally published on Zillow.

At the time of her death, Anna Nicole Smith -- a woman who was known for being a celebrity lookalike to Marilyn Monroe -- was only 37-years-old. To this day, she is still one of Playboy magazine's most famous models. Items of personal property belonging to the dead celebrity were recently auctioned off by Julien's Auctions for big profits.
