According to the Los Angeles Times, it was reported on March 12 that many celebrities have had their personal information hacked into and placed online. Some of the celebrities who have had their personal information hacked and placed online include Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Ashton Kutcher, Mel Gibson, Jay-Z, Paris Hilton, Beyonce, Sarah Palin, Hulk Hogan, Britney Spears, Donald Trump, Arnold Schwarzenegger, as well as Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Hilary Clinton, Robert Muller, who is the FBI director, United States Attorney General Eric Holder, Los Angeles PD Chief Charlie Beck, and former Vice President Al Gore.
Although most of these celebrities and high profile people had their credit reports show up on the website, Joe Biden, Hilary Clinton, Kanye West and Donald Trumps' credit reports have not shown up yet.
The website, which showed this information, has a domain that used to belong to the Soviet Union. It reveals personal information of these celebrities and high profile people such as their social security numbers, phone numbers, addresses, as well as their credit reports which can include their mortgage information.
Although the hackers have not been caught and arrested yet, the FBI is working on the case and vow to find out who did it and prosecute them. Yet, the website is still live. According to TMZ, the website was first found on Monday but the FBI knew about the hackers before they even went live. However, TMZ was told that the investigation did not start on Monday. Also, according to LA Now, the major credit reporting agencies are investigating the hack.
TMZ has also reported that some of the phone numbers on the website belong to the management team of some of the celebrities. Because of this, their phones have been ringing off the hook.
