Hollywood actors have long since been the targets of hackers. As technology has become nearly the only way, personal information is too easily attained. Over the weekend several celebrities were the victims of nude photo leaks. While a few of the actors have issued statements claiming the photos were real, there are still a few denying them. According to a September 1 report from Fox News, Jennifer Lawrence has contacted the police and will be actively involved in making the responsible party pay. This news isn't shocking to fans of Lawrence as she is one tough cookie.
There was a master list posted of celebrities who had nude photos. It appears there was leak in the Apple iCloud which allowed a hacker to access several celebrity accounts. While Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton have admitted the photos are indeed theirs, Ariana Grande and Victoria Justice have denied it all around. Speculation about the hacker has led the media to a man in Georgia, but there has been no confirmation on his identity.
Now that Jennifer Lawrence has decided to file a report and an investigation will be had, expect more information to come out slowly. Many of the photos have been taken offline, but there are speculations that several people have already downloaded them to their personal computers. When these people are found, they will also get into trouble. For now Lawrence is speaking out only in statements provided by her publicist. Many of the other women are staying quiet in hopes the scandal will pass.
