Celebrity lookalikes ~ they're the 'real' thing!

Have you ever attended a party, stood in line at a store or just walked down the street and heard someone say or call out, "Hey Steve, how are you?" But you are not 'Steve.'

It has been unofficially proven that somewhere on this planet each of us has a double. We look like he or she, and so of course he or she looks like us. It is just something that happens to all of us, to some maybe more than to others. It is nothing that happens on purpose.

A few decades ago someone decided to go that extra mile and become someone famous, on purpose. A couple of good examples would be those who looked like and impersontated Marilyn Monroe or Elvis Presley.

It is probably safe to say that Marilyn (Dawnn Behrens performing in Japan!) and Elvis were, and maybe still are, the most popular pair of famous celebrities that have walked the earth. Looking like such famous celebrities can be a good thing, even a profitable thing, so why not look like other famous celebs too?

Some celeb lookalikes who have been seen in films, television commercials or in print might be Robert Pattinson, the Pope,Anna Nicole Smith, Daniel Craig, Sean Connery, 007, Bill Clinton, Patrick Stewart, Tina Turner, Madonna, Pierce Bronsan, Dr. Phil, Adam Lambert and of course lately, Michael Jackson!

If one just happens to have an uncanny resemblance to a celebrity, without wardrobe and makeup, and even sound like that certain celeb, than he or she has a good beginning to becoming a professional celebrity lookalike, tribute artist or impersonator!

After a person has established such a similarity and made it even more believable with wardrobe, makeup and voice, what is next? The answer to that, not unlike in the acting business, is to obtain an agent and photos and begin developing a resume, which results in gigs!
