Celebrity jewelry auction : TenThousandThings gives back

TenThousandThings’ David Rees and Ron Anderson have a star-studded clientele that includes Julianne Moore, Cyndi Lauper, Christy Turlington, and Susan Sarandon. The designer pair hit the scene in the 90s when Kate Moss wore a pair of their earrings in her iconic Calvin Klein ads.

To celebrate their twenty year anniversary the designers have decided to give back. They created a collection of one-of-a-kind precious and semiprecious wares inspired by their favorite customers called Love + Adorn. . The range features lust-worthy necklaces, earrings, and rings, all inspired by TenThousanThings' celebrity fans.

The best part is that you can make any piece from the collection yours thanks to the amazing online auction created along legendary photography duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. One hundred percent of the proceeds from each piece will be donated to the wearer’s charity of choice (the True Colors Fund, Doctors Without Borders, and Every Mother Counts among others).

The people who have supported us throughout the years are very important to us. Our way of celebrating our twentieth was to honor their patronage by supporting something they really care about,” said Rees.

This project appealed to us because it is about giving back as a celebration of [TenThousandThings'] twenty years in the business,” Inez & Vinoodh stated, noting that they were drawn to the designers’ “generous spirits.” Just in case there was any doubt, charity really is the gift that keeps on giving.
