Celebrity impersonators "hit the jackpot" in Las Vegas, Nevada over the week of February 21-25, 2011 as they entertained, won awards and 'strutted their stuff' in and out of the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino.
Faux celebs could be seen throughout Vegas during their participation of the 11th Annual Celebrity Impersonators Convention (CIC), The Reel Awards (TRA) and other activities tied to both events. All of the above were produced by Janna and Alana Joos. Producer Janna Joos owns International Celebrity Images out of Palm Springs, California.
This was an extra special occasion as it was also the 20th Annual Production of THE REEL AWARDS. For obvious reasons, the award ceremony has always been held around the same time as the Academy Awards. This time the Reel Awards was held on Thursday afternoon, February 24, 2011 in the Showroom of the Golden Nugget.
The Reel Awards consisted of approximately 70 celebrity impersonators who performed as the Awards Show's co-hosts, presenters, performers and attendees.
The artists hailed from several states and countries, some of which were: Canada, Germany, Australia, Ireland, Spain as well as many locations all over the United States - Montana, Nevada, Colorado, Florida, New York and California to name a few.
The Reel Awards were presented in 16 categories for excellence in the field of impersonation.
In addition to the CIC and TRA, the 2nd Annual Vegas Tribute Idol competition was also held at the Golden Nugget Casino.
