Celebrity homes news! Elin Nordgeren's beachfront mansion is under construction. The ex-wife of shamed professional golfer Tiger Woods is finally ready for a clean start. After cleaning him out financially in the divorce two years ago, she's decided to update her multi-million dollar mansion claimed Us Weekly magazine in a new celeb real estate report dated Dec. 11, 2012.
The celebrity home that Elin is remodeling is not the one she lived in with Tiger Woods reports TMZ. She purchased the glamorous North Palm Beach estate with part of the cash out of her $100 million settlement back in March of 2011.
At the beginning of 2012, she essentially bulldozed the original home – – a bold move since (she paid $12.2 million for the property to begin with at the time of purchase). The house she knocked down was a two-story, 17,000-square-foot mansion said TMZ.
Us Weekly further added that the new house on her private estate is going to be roughly 20,000-square-feet once the construction is finished. From the looks of aerial photography shown on TMZ, the dazzling celebrity property is almost complete.
Elin's allegedly been the one to add an Olympic size swimming pool, several gorgeous koi ponds, and a luxury spa. But what is she planning on doing with the place once she's finished remodeling?
No one knows for sure quite yet, but the neighbors are all anxious to see. Whether or not she lives in the home full-time, part of the year, or flips the house to make some extra money now that the housing market for mega-mansions seems to be coming out of its slump remains to be seen.
As for her giving the place a personal touch, the most famous ex-wife in the world has allegedly been seen walking the property. She also proudly displays the flag from her native country of Sweden flying high above the chimney-lined rooftop for all to see.
Nordegren and Woods went through a very ugly celebrity split back in 2010. The couple had two children at the time of their breakup – – a daughter named Sam who is now five years old, and their son Charlie. The active toddler is three.
Regarding Elin Nordegren's new life after golf, She Knows claims she is diligently rebuilding her life away from Tiger Woods and the prying eyes of the paparazzi. They further shared, "The Swede only did one interview with People back in August 2010 telling the magazine about her ex-husband's affairs, "The word betrayal isn't strong enough. I felt like my whole world had fallen apart.""
Guess what, Elin? It did.
However, there are very few women on the planet who heard her tragic story of love and loss that were not deeply moved. Americans appear to be especially glad she has persevered. They also seem pleased to hear that while she does like caring for her exotic fish, she seems to have learned her lesson and is eschewing big cat species.
Her new celebrity property is said to be 100% Tiger (and cheetah) free.
