Celebrity Eco Chef Bryan Au supports Eco Diamonds

Celebrity Eco Chef Bryan Au recently answered a few questions about his support for Eco Diamonds

Tell us about Eco Diamonds.

Diamonds are sometimes known as conflict diamonds, because long before the Leonardo DiCaprio movie "Blood Diamonds" hit theatres, violence, corruption, and abuse was a problem in the diamond mining industry. Diamonds are valuable, but not as rare as many people believe. The diamond industry has exaggerated the rarity of the gems in order to increase their profits.

There are companies that mine their diamonds ethically, but unfortunately, the problem of human rights abuses is widespread and has cost a number of lives in countries where mining is a vital part of the industry. Buying a diamond with no violence attached to its retrieval can be a challenge, and the Kimberly Process is based on "self-policing".

By choosing to purchase an Eco Diamond, you are guaranteed a piece of jewelry that is free of the abuses with which many diamonds are associated and that you are getting a gemstone that offers a consistency and quality unlike any other brand on the market.

While the average shopper in the market for an engagement ring is not ever going to understand all of the issues behind diamond mining, they can make an effort to educate themselves before making a purchase.

How did you get involved with supporting Eco Diamonds?

Being Celebrity Eco Chef Bryan Au, part of that means that I find, use, and recommend the most Eco-friendly products and companies in the world!

My main goal is to find Eco Green alternatives to products that normally are not eco or green at all! But there is more to it, each Eco Green product or company I use, endorse or recommend also has to be affordable, practical, reward the buyer with extra benefits and value. So I don't just choose and recommend any eco green product it has to be even better than the non-eco version!

Some examples are my Raw Star Ceramic Knives with the Eco Luxurious Bamboo handles being the most affordable bargain priced high end best knife in the world. Now http://www.EcoDiamonz.net/ has the most affordable spectacular gorgeous Eco Diamonds that makes a great Valentine's Day gift or for Weddings, Engagement and Anniversary.

They are truly a very high quality, innovative company providing a beautiful product that people will enjoy while being rewarded for being more Eco Green. Mining is bad for the environment, is dangerous and also no longer necessary.

Why do you think more people should support Eco Diamonds?

I think people will appreciate that they are Eco Green, affordable, beautiful, Celebrities love them and wear them on
The Red Carpet for these very reasons too.

There is actually a lot of information and links on their main website and anyone or everyone can sign up for a Free Affiliate Link and can start to earn 11% of all Affiliate sales and also on referrals as well! Just go to http://www.EcoDiamondz.net/ scroll to the bottom and click on Affiliate and join for free and use the banners, links, text links, etc. You can now save money, save human rights, save the environment and earn extra cash all good things thanks to http://www.EcoDiamondz.net/.

What other Eco causes do you support?

I support Trees for the Future a non profit that plants new trees for $.10 each! They will plant a new baby tree when you donate tax write off non profit donation to them they are really cool! For every product people buy from me a new tree is actually planted!

There are many other Eco causes and groups that I support or are into so when you buy products from me you know the money is going to something good and positive in the world as I create more Eco Green awareness, access and education for people to enjoy, I want people to know we can save our health, our community, the environment and the World in the most fun, fashionable and delicious ways possible! My new motto for 2011 is catching on "Save Everything!"

What Eco projects are you working on now?

I have many other Eco Green Projects I am working on now, from my own National PBS TV SHOW Series, to finding new and more Eco Green companies to work with and to promote that replaces non-eco products that people buy or use everyday.

I loved this article. I'm so glad that there are people who want to stand up against what is happening in Africa. How many of our rings have a life behind them? How much blood was spilt for the ring that sits on the finger of your friends, family co-workers? When will society finally stop thinkin that diamonds are the "only" way to show your "love". The diamond companies never thought of love when they were killing the man or even the child who thought they could hide one small stone that could change their families life. I support companies like Eco Diamonds because they have products that can really change the way people think and buy.

Isn't being Eco throwing a curve ball to all the "norms" out there. Don't just be Eco when you think it's convenient.
