Celebrity diet trends typically last about as long as Lindsay Lohan's vows to be a good girl. Let's take a look at what's hot in celebrity diet land....and what's flickered and faded
- Baby food diet: Celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston supposedly followed this ludicrous food plan, which consisted of sustaining their active lifestyles on (icky poo) teeny tiny jars of baby food. Pureed apricots, anyone? Thankfully, this is no longer a hot diet...and don't try it at home unless you want to develop a case of malnutrition (which isn't very pretty).
- Master Cleanse Diet: Beyonce is probably the most famous celebrity who followed this approach, sometimes called the Lemonade Diet. This modified juice fast is just that: a fast. Reality check: you can't stay on it forever. The problem that most celebrities and others have is that they go on it...then, as soon as they stop, treat themselves to all the foods that they missed (chocolate chip cookies and fudge brownies the day after you halt a fast isn't exactly a recipe for success!). She subsequently shifted to a smarter approach, involving a sensible breakfast, lots of salads for lunch and dinner, and lean protein. Now that's hot!
- Zone Diet: Jennifer Aniston is the "poster girl" for this food plan, and it's still going strong. A hot food plan for a hot celebrity body, the Zone Diet involves calculated amounts of protein, healthy fats, fruits, and veggies.
