Celebrity DEFCON 1: 'Sex in the City 2' goes before cameras in New York

This Labor Day weekend edition of Personalities in Brief unveils a frenzied first look at "Sex in the City 2," now shooting in New York. And as these photos can attest, Sarah Jessica Parker remains anything but fashion roadkill.

Tastemaking stylist Patricia Field (pictured right) strikes again as these street scene images reveal her penchant for turning Manhattan into her personal catwalk has yet to waver.

Returning to work on the new "Sex and the City" film, Field is still fanning Carrie Bradshaw's passion with a diverse selection of high-end and casual styles. Intrestingly, fans of the Emmy-winning HBO series will notice that Field has brought back one of the iconic frocks of the series, the Christian Dior newsprint dress (pictured below) Carrie infamously wore to her apology lunch with the "Idiot Stick Figure with No Soul," or the second "Mrs. Big" portrayed by Bridget Moynahan.

Expect to get "carried away" with more photos and news from the set of the new "Sex and the City" film. Speculation on the heavily protected plot is running rampant, with media reports citing a financial crisis hitting Mr. Big (Chris Noth), as well as casting rumors that Victoria Beckham (pictured left) and Brit tabloid sensation Katie Price reportedly audtioned for the role of a British nanny for Carrie!

"Sex and the City 2" is expected to be in theaters in 2010.
