Although based in Florida, Celebrity Cruises has been very active in Southern California these days with various events. The next one is the Celebrity Cruises Great Wine Festival which will take place on May 31, 2014 from 2 p,m, to 5 p.m. at the Great Park in Irvine. Announced as a charity event, proceeds are intended to benefit LegalAid of Orange County, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides free and low-cost legal services to individuals of Southern California who might otherwise be denied access to justice.

If you like wine and believe in giving, the $75 per person ticket fee is worth shelling out (after April 30 the price goes up to $100 a pop, so make up your mind soon). The cruise line’s Captain’s Club members are eligible for a 20% discount on tickets ($60) if purchased by April 30, 2014. The event, which will highlight more than 40 premium wineries, is sponsored by Coast Magazine, Fiji Water, Air New Zealand, Tourism New Zealand featuring the wines of New Zealand as well as the Orange County Restaurant Association/Golden Foodie Awards. Of course food will be served along with wine, to see who will be do the honors go to CelebrityCruises Great Wine Festival.
