Five of Celebrity’s luxurious state-of-the-art ships are giving even more wow-factor to its European itineraries for 2015. This award-winning, up-market cruise line will sail to 94 European destinations in 28 countries next year. The emphasis is on new ports of call and a greater variety of itineraries, including overnight stays in over 60 ports, and the time for passengers to more fully enjoy the distinct differences offered in each destination.
The cruise line’s newest ship Celebrity Reflection will be joined by four more of Celebrity’s technologically advanced and acclaimed sisters: Celebrity Silhouette, Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Constellation and Celebrity Eclipse. You can see the deck plans and interior spaces of these beautiful vessels at www.celebritycruises.com
On board the Millennium-class Celebrity Constellation, guests can book a refreshing new selection of seven-night itineraries on the Mediterranean Sea from its new home port in Venice, Italy. The Constellation will cruise to the Greek Isles and Turkey, calling at Dubrovnik, Croatia; Ephesus (Kusadasi), Turkey; Athens, Santorini, Mykonos, Corfu and Katakolon, Greece.
These are destinations for indulging in the fresh and healthy Mediterranean diet, as it’s known around the globe. We call it one of the world’s most delicious and satisfying cuisines. It will definitely fill the bill when you leave the ship to have lunch or dinner in the variety of wonderful ports.
The Celebrity Silhouette will make Northern Europe its new home in 2015. The ports will give you a chance to fully experience vastly different people and cultures: Amsterdam, Holland; Fredericia, Denmark; Cork, Dublin; Waterford, Ireland; Belfast, Northern Ireland; Holyhead, Wales; Dover and Liverpool, England; Paris (Le Havre), France. Overnight stays on board the Silhouette include Dublin Bay (Dun Laoghaire), Ireland, and the majestic Royal Mile in Scotland’s most iconic of cities, Edinburgh. It’s a heady dose of fabled Celtic history in Ireland and Scotland.
Another major modern luxury ship, the Celebrity Equinox, is offering seven-night itineraries, including visits to Nice (Villefranche), France; Athens, Chania, Crete and Rhodes, Greece; Ephesus and Istanbul; Catania, Florence, Genoa, Rome, and Sicily, Italy; Ajaccio, Corsica; and there are new overnight stays in Ibiza, Spain and Mykonos, Greece, where guests can enjoy the vibrant nightlife. Take along some ‘headache powders’ for the morning after you’ve partied in these bustling ports. Celebrity Equinox passengers will have the unique opportunity to experience an overnight in Cannes, France during the star-studded Cannes Film Festival. That 10-night Mediterranean itinerary sets sail from Barcelona to Rome on May 11, 2015.
We’re told that even though this particular cruise is a bit more than a year away, it’s a popular itinerary and will book quickly, so get out your Audrey Hepburn sunglasses and practice your best red-carpet celeb poses if you want to live the glamour of the French Riviera.
The fourth great ship of the Celebrity fleet traversing European waters is the Celebrity Eclipse, which offers a series of 11- to 14-night sailings to explore the area’s top sun and beach destinations. Sailing roundtrip from Southampton, England, the Eclipse will cruise into Ponta Delgada, Azores; Lisbon and Madeira (Funchal), Portugal; Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands. Sunscreen and floppy hats are definitely on the need-to-pack list.
And the fifth of the ultra-luxury ships is the popular Celebrity Reflection, which is celebrating its third consecutive season in Europe with a series of 10- and 11-night Mediterranean sailings from Rome to the Greek Isles and Turkey; and the 11-night itinerary features an overnight stay in exciting Istanbul where Europe meets Asia.
