Celebrity chef Todd English arrested on DWI charge in NY

Celebrity chef Todd English was arrested early Sunday morning on drunken driving charges in the Hamptons, according to police and an Associated Press report.

Southampton Town Police say the 54-year-old New York City resident was stopped around 3:30 a.m. along County Road 39 in Southampton. The reality-TV regular, whose real name is William Todd English, was booked on a driving while intoxicated charge, according to a police news release.

Officials said he was held for several hours before being released on $1,500 bail at the Southampton Town Justice Court.

According to his website, English has opened several restaurants around the country and has appeared on a number of television programs, including “Iron Chef USA.”

English’s spokeswoman did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
