Jamie Oliver, celebrity chef and good-eating advocate, added a son to his all-girl chorus this weekend, with the arrival of Buddy, his first son.
Oliver came to prominence with his easy, elegant cooking and street-smart Cockney accent on The Food Network’s The Naked Chef. Over the last few years he’s branched out into books and other programming, most recently the ABC reality program Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution, a story of his attempt to bring nutritional food to one of America’s “fattest small towns” that earned an Emmy.
Oliver and his wife Jools have an … interesting tradition when it comes to naming their children. Their oldest girl, now 8, is named Poppy Honey Rosie. Her younger sisters are Daisy Boo Pamela and Petal Blossom Rainbow. Which means that Buddy may be getting off easy ... though Oliver tweeted, “Full name to come from mum.”
