The Disney Food blog cited a rumor yesterday that Kouzzina a restaurant at the BoardWalk Resort in Walt Disney World Orlando will be closing their doors after five years of service. Celebrity chef Cat Cora of the Food Network’s ‘Iron Chef’ series partnered with Disney to provide Greek/Mediterranean cuisine in 2009.

Although Disney hasn't confirmed this rumor, the Orlando Business Journal has also announced the rumor of Kouzzina's closing. According to OBJ the restaurant will close its doors by the end of September 2014 and another eatery will take its place but that restaurant and date have not been determined as of this date. Cora’s restaurant replaced Spoodles back in 2009, which was also a Mediterranean restaurant.

An interesting common theme among 43 out of 192 reviewers on YELP, Kouzzina said, “Now I've eaten at Cat Cora's restaurant before and it's never impressed me.” Overall YELP averaged 3.5 out of 5 stars. However, many of the reviewers gave Kouzzina's 4 or 5 stars, it's an assumption that even though patrons notice filled tables and the need to make reservations it obviously wasn't enough to keep their doors open.
