Ellen Degeneres is the host of The Ellen Degeneres Show and is by far one of the biggest celebrities known for charitable works. Recently, Ellen Degeneres hosted a charity auction event on eBay that ran from April 14th- May 8th where all the proceeds went to the Humane Society. She auctioned off clothing that she wore on her show and to award shows. The Humane Society is just one of the many charities that Ellen Degeneres has donated time, effort and money too. Some of the other charities that Ellen supports are Jude's Children's Hospital, the Red Cross, Artists Against Racism, The Susan G. Komen Foundation, Clothes Off Our Back, Peace Games, Project Cuddle and many others.
Ellen also launched a "Small Change Campaign" with Ben Afflect to support and benefit Second Harvest which has since changed its name to Feeding America. The goals of Feeding America are to distribute food and grocery products through a member network and to increase public awareness about domestic hunger while advocating for public policies which benefit the hungry in America.
Denegeres is known for making us laugh, making us cry and making us dance but she should be known for her charitable heart which supports people, animals, education and peace.

when did she start the small change campaign
its honestly not that shocking tht degeneres supports all these charities. i had to do a report on whos my role model and i chose her becasue shes such a strong individual and i think that she is really trying to help this world change for the good. she has helped so many people and animals and she will continue to do it. i also think its stupit for ppl to hate her bc of her sexuality. shes still a wonderful person either way.
