Hollywood actor Zak Efron turned celebrity athlete for a day --

AP news reports Zac Efron got a few fastball pointers from Atlanta Braves pitching coach Roger McDowell at an Atlanta baseball camp Tuesday July 13, 2010.

According to the source, the teen heartthrob visited the Dan Perez Baseball Camp while on a promotional stop for his new movie, "Charlie St. Cloud."

While there, Efron (a SoCal resident) reportedly, "worked the crowd", signing autographs and playing catch with the young all-stars at the camp and proved simple manners can certainly charm a Deep South crowd.

Efron's new movie opens July 30. Best known for the "High School Musical" series, Efron has also starred in growing cult classic hit movies such as "17 Again" and "Hairspray."

In the new film (which was written based on a novel), the 20 something Efron again plays a high school student. However, this time -- rather than focusing the story line on more song and dance -- he plays a character whose love of baseball helps him cope after his little brother dies in a car accident.

Zac Efron is romantically linked to talented and lovely actress Vanessa Hudgens.

Both have been teen idols and are the picture of health and fitness, epitomizing youth and beauty in Hollywood.

Efron is gaining fame for his ripped physique that is getting better and better as he matures. Hudgens is simply keeping her fame thanks to her natural good looks and keeping her body enviably gorgeous.

Both are considered talented athletes for their dance experience.
