For the first time since nearly losing his life to a brain hemorrhage suffered not long after an appendectomy, former Poison rocker and "Celebrity Apprentice" star Bret Michaels is speaking out. People Magazine sits down with the star for an upcoming issue, in which he says he "is lucky to be alive." He also has this to say about why he continued so hard to fight for his life:
"I was sad thinking of my daughters without me."
For Bret, this marks a great opportunity for him to jump back into the public spotlight immediately (plus, he may even say if he is attending the "Apprentice" finale on May 23). This is also a major victory for People, which landed a huge story last week with their cover featuring Sandra Bullock's adopted son Louis.
