Celebrities to shoot hoops for 'From a Boy to a Man' project.

Basketball fans, charity supporters and local celerity lovers have two chances in January to attend a celebrity hoop event in support of the "Sacramento From a Boy to a Man Project." Teams will take to the court to battle out their skills as attendees cheer their favorites. Teams will consist of Comedians vs Hip Hop Artists & Poets on Friday the 24th and Promoters vs Musicians on Friday the 31st.

For some, choosing a favorite team to cheer for may the biggest challenge facing anyone attending this event. The first game with Comedians (aka Team LaughsNLayups) will include Daniel Dugar, Daunte Burks, Lance Woods, Mike E. Winfield, BT Kingsley, Shaun Grady, Anderi Bailey, Anthony Guzman Jr., Ngaoi Bealum and Mike Sinclair. Team Hip Hop Artists & Poets will include Terry Moore, Dawayne Jordan, Cutty Dre, Khiry Malik Moore, Noah Hayes, Coon, Light-Skinned Creole, Izreal, Big Spence and Russell Cummings.

The second game with team Musicians will include Chris Jones, Shawn Raiford, Sunny Blue Bland, Garrett Perkins, Lovell Crumby, Rae Rock, Patrick Anderson and Tone Malone and more to be announced. The opposing Promoters team brings on Terry Moore and Khiry Malik Moore now wearing their promoters caps as well as Doug Antoine, Kawame Curry, Lee Perkins and more to be announced.

The event will also include some additional entertainment by dancers and singers and takes place at the Boys and Girls Club located at 1117 G Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. Games start at 7:00 p.m. and run through 9:30 p.m. Discount tickets can be purchased in advance through the Eventbrite site found here or at the door for $5.00.
