January 18th is Winnie the Pooh Day, created in honor of author A.A. Milne’s birth back in 1882. Milne’s inspiration for this beloved character, as well as many of Pooh’s friends, came from his son’s teddy bear and other toys- his son’s name, by the way, is Christopher Robin Milne.
