Today is National Margarita Day! If you are heading to Atlantic City for the weekend, your first stop should be at Revel Resort’s Distrito Cantina. From noon until midnight, celebrate National Margarita Day at Chef Jose GarcesDistrito Cantina To observe one of their favorite holidays, the bar will offer $2 “Mini Margaritas,” perfect as a shot or a sipper, plus the option to purchase Chef Garces’ Herradura Suprema Margarita, an epic $50 libation served in a specialty glass signed by the Iron Chef himself, with proceeds benefittng his Garces Family Foundation.

“National Margarita Day has become a fun tradition at the original Distrito in Philadelphia, and we’re thrilled to bring the party to Revel for the first time this year,” says Chef Garces, who founded the Garces Family Foundation along with his wife, Dr. Beatriz Garces, to provide support to the region’s under-served immigrant population. “This year’s specials are even more exciting because of the opportunity to give something back to the community while enjoying a memorably delicious margarita.”

Guests are invited to pull up a stool at the bar and indulge in Chef Garces’ signature Suprema Margarita – or grab a quick mini margarita or two on the go as they pass by, ideal as a complement to some tacos or guacamole from Distrito Cantina’s taco truck or on their own as a fast and fun way to celebrate the holiday.

Distrito Cantina is a lively margarita bar serving food from a customized, stationary “food truck” that is styled after Chef Garces’ wildly popular Philadelphia-based mobile food operation. Revel’s truck is decorated with over 50,000 vintage soda bottle caps and is permanently “parked” beside the margarita bar. Distrito Cantina (609-225-9850) at Revel, 500 Boardwalk, Atlantic City.
