Celebrating grand opening of a new business with floral arrangements (Video)

As the economic situation is improving, many of vacant offices and lease spaces are now getting occupied by new tenants who often hold a grand opening event by inviting their customers. In Silicon Valley/San Francisco Bay Area where I am living, so many brand new companies are born every single year while lots of companies are getting out of business throughout the year. Many of them are high-tech oriented businesses such as semiconductor (Intel), computer software (Oracle), internet search engines (Yahoo, Google) and consumer electronics related companies (Apple).

In addition to these companies, hotels, retail shops and restaurants related to our daily life are also operating. The operation of such life oriented businesses is also affected by general economic situation which is now remarkably improving. There are many brand new buildings or offices that are under construction or renovation. Some of them are already (or almost) completed and show a big banner or sign board showing “Grand Opening” or “Coming Soon”.

No matter what kind of business it is, they often hold grand opening event when the new building or new office renovation is completed. In this kind of situation, they order flower arrangements to display near the entry door or reception counter as well as the main hall where invited customers join the opening party.

Usually they place order of flower arrangements with a local florist that makes floral decorations and deliver them to customers. Depending upon the size of grand opening, a variety of floral decorations are displayed, from a large arrangements placed in the main hall to a small designs displayed at the reception counter. These arrangements can be called “corporate arrangements” that are ordered by corporate customers rather than individual consumers who visit a floral shop.
