Earth Day is coming up (April 22) and it's a great time learn about taking care of the Earth and to get outdoors and enjoy it too! Here's some ways to celebrate Earth Day in the Tulsa area:

Tulsa Libraries: There are a variety of events celebrating spring and Earth Day during the month of April. Including but, not limited to: Showers and Flowers Apr. 8, 3-4p.m. at the Judy Z. Kishner Library for ages 5-10, Librarium -Earth day craft and story time on both Apr. 12, 2-3p.m. and on Apr. 22, 11-11:30a.m. for toddlers and preschool aged kids, Spring Fest at Martin Regional Library Apr. 19 12p.m. -2p.m. This come and go event has recycling, crafts, books, and more. SpringFest -The Tulsa Garden Center offers shopping for your garden, home, and more. Also includes a kids zone, arts/crafts, and more - April 11 &12 9a.m. -6p.m. Please see their website for more information.

Herb day in Brookside -Oklahoma grown herbs, plants, and products. April 12 9a.m.-5p.m. Please see their website for more information.

Guthrie Green -In addition to the Sunday Market going on Apr. 13 10a.m.-2p.m. there's also a special Earth Day celebration 1p.m.-6p.m. With music, arts/crafts, puppet theatre, saplings from Up with Trees, and more. Please see their website for more information.

Enviro Expo -Many environmental organizations and non-profits will have booths setup in celebration of Earth Day. April 16, 11a.m.-2p.m. in Downtown Tulsa; between 4th & 5th streets on Main Street. Please see their website for more information.

Jenks Herb n Plant Festival -Over 100 booths will fill Main Street 1st to 3rd and beyond on April 19, 8a.m. -4p.m. With a variety of plants, kids activities, concessions, music, and more. Please see their website for more information.

Sand Springs Herbal Affair -It's the 25th year for this annual festival -April 26, 9a.m.-4p.m. With over 100 vendors selling a variety of plants, gardening supplies, and more. Also includes a children's area, live entertainment, and more. Please see their website for more information.

Cherry Street Farmer's Market -Is every Saturday 7a.m. -11a.m/April 5 -Oct. 25 Please see their website for more information.

Pollution and Trash clean up -Fairgrounds Pollutant Collection April 5 & 6, 10a.m. -3p.m. For items accepted and not accepted/more information-Please see their website.; Oklahoma Trash off -April 12 a day to clean up trash and keep our land grand -Please see their website for more information.; You can also recycle many items with The M.E.T. -Please see their website for more information.
