Celebrating Christmas at Macy's on State

Macy’s on State Street is a historic landmark and the second largest department store in the world. It’s a site to see any time of the year, but around Christmas, it has a magical touch.

The elaborate window displays are the “talk of the town” every year. The themed displays change each year, so it can become a great Christmas tradition to start making it a point to see the displays with family or friends.

Macy’s also decorates a 45-foot Christmas tree, which has themed ornaments and around 25,000 lights. It may even be the best Christmas tree in Chicago to visit. Since the tree is in the Walnut Room, enjoy a meal right there next t0 the Christmas tree to take a break from your last-minute shopping.

Of course the size of Macy’s makes it the perfect place to get your last-minute Christmas shopping done. With all the decorations, it’ll even make shopping fun.
