The month of remembrance honoring the unique and rich history of African-Americans in the United States, particularly in the city of Buffalo NY. In creating this project the artists wanted to reflect on the historical impact and contributions made in the city of Buffalo NY. Instead of focusing on individuals the project turns its focus on the black community where countless black men and women contributed to the advancement of human civilization.

The artists put together a series of collage style picture exhibits that focuses on historical sites that played a huge role in the black community as a whole, they said the sole purpose of going back to these historical places is to inspire people of all ethnic groups to greater achievements so that we move forward to create a dialogue and popularize knowledge about the black contributions of the past.
