Matt Bomer, who currently plays Neal Caffrey on USA Network’s “White Collar,” turns 35 years old today (October 11)!
Matt Bomer first really made his mark as a TV actor in 2001 (although he previously had a small role on “All My Children”) on the daytime soap “Guiding Light.” He played Ben Reade until his character committed suicide in 2003, thus ending his time on the show.
After his stint on “Light” he graduated to primetime, playing a love interest to Eliza Dushku’s character on “Tru Calling.” However, he didn’t make it to the second season of the supernatural drama, as he lasted only seventeen episodes. The actors were reunited years later though, as Dushku guest starred on "White Collar" in August of last year!
In 2007, Bomer landed one of the lead roles on ABC’s short-lived “Traveler.” The show was actually pretty good, but unfortunately got the ax after the first season. The show co-starred Logan Marshall-Green (“The OC”), along with “Nikita’s” Aaron Stanford and Oscar nominated actress Viola Davis.
The 34 year old actor then landed the role that many fans know him for: the character of Bryce Larkin on “Chuck,” NBC’s beloved spy dramedy. Bryce was Sarah Walker’s (the beautiful Yvonne Strahovski) former spy partner and lover. He was also the one who first sent the intersect to Mr. Chuck Bartowski. This role introduced him to many and gained him a lot of new fans. He continued to sporadically appear in episodes until 2009.
The stunningly gorgeous actor was then cast on “White Collar,” where he still currently acts as con artist Neal Caffrey. This is his best known role to date and truly showcases his great acting skills, along with his incredibly handsome face. This character has put the actor in the spotlight and led to his being named the sexiest man on TV in 2011 by BuddyTV.com!
Earlier this year Bomer guest starred on “Glee”(where his singing chops were showcased) and appeared on the big screen as a stripper in “Magic Mike!”
