Ditch the chocolate and flowers, but not your date, and head to a partners yoga class this Valentine's Day.

This year, a number of Baltimore area studios are celebrating the "holiday of love" by offering Partner Yoga classes - from the relaxing to the acrobatic. Find new ways to give and receive support, enjoy mutual trust and experience the joy and love rooted in the breath and body. All classes are for couples, or friends, that enjoy yoga and want to celebrate Valentine’s Day together.

Gogo Guru Yoga StudioValentine's Day Partner Yoga Workshop
February 14, 201, 6:15pm - 8:15pm
Located in Ellicott City.

Join yoga teacher Michele Bickley for a transformational experience. Be guided, step-by-step, through yoga poses and Thai Massage Bodywork techniques that require no previous yoga experience. In this ancient healing art, you will gently twist, stretch, massage, and breathe to open and bring your body back to balance and health.

Pre-register for $20 per person / $40 a couple, or $25 a person at the door.

Baltimore Yoga Village is offering two classes for couples on Saturday, February 15, taught by Yoga Christy at the Falls Road location.

The afternoon class features a more relaxing class for the couple that wants to destress together with meditation and message, while the evening class kicks it up a bit with some partner yoga playtime.

Couples Meditation and Massage
Saturday, Februry 15, 1:00pm - 4:00pm.
Learn fun ways to bond with your partner and take care of one another, while improving your communication, relaxation, and physical/energetic intimacy. Learn the healing art of Vedic Thai-Yoga Massage (also called "Lazy Man's Yoga") as the receiver gets to be completely passive as they are stretched and opened.

Partner Yoga Play and Therapeutics with Yoga Christy
Saturday, February 15, 4:30pm - 6:30pm, at the Falls
Partner Yoga begins with focus which brings cooperation, sensitivity and communication. When you practice Partner Yoga, you’ll not only learn some cool stunts, you'll also learn to listen, be sensitive, trust, and be strong for your partner. No Partner? No problem. They will pair you up! Just remember that this is a hands-on experience.)

The cost is $20 for individuals and $40 per couple.

The Yoga Center of Columbia is offering an evening workshop for the couple that has both a yoga enthusiast a novice on February 14,from 6:30pm - 8:00pm.

In this fun, light-hearted workshop, partners will explore creative yoga poses for two, and help each other find strength, balance and relaxation in poses both new and familiar.

Cost is $40 per couple.

Yoga on York presents Valentine Partner Yoga
February 14, from 7:30pm - 8:45pm.
This workshop will utilize the forms and principles of individual posture while incorporating the presence of another to deepen the impact of the experience. Lots of fun and challenging postures, so bring your partner and come explore movement with another body!
