You can learn more about Ohio's history, celebrate this year's crops and participate in a wide variety of fun activities at the 41st annual Zoar Harvest Festival being held on Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3. Located between New Philadelphia and Canton, Zoar, Ohio is only 62 miles from Cleveland and it is approximately a one hour drive.

A Bit About Zoar Village Founded in 1817 by a group of German Separatists escaping religious persecution in their native country, Zoar Village was formed to provide a communal society in order to survive in an unfamiliar land. Twenty-four of the original buildings still stand in the historic village.

Zoar Harvest Festival Celebrating the harvest of the last of the summer wheat, the Festival features over 60 antique dealers displaying their wares, a craft show, children's period amusements and games and horse-drawn wagon rides throughout the Village.

Other attractions at the Harvest Festival include costumed artisan demonstrations involving candle making, weaving, making soap, canning, baking, spinning, blacksmithing, bee keeping, butter churning, sauerkraut making and even doing laundry the pioneer way.

The Festival also offers an art show, exhibit and sale.

Visitors will be able to tour all the historic buildings, museums and gardens at Zoar Village.

Plenty of food will be available for purchase including items like bratwurst, German-style potato salad, sauerkraut, corn-on-the-cob and ice cream.

Hours for the Zoar Harvest Festival are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $8 for adults (13+). Children 12 and under are free.
