The new year has brought the full intensity of winter – demonstrated by the polar vortex. Again the single digit temperatures and accumulating snows have returned. The groundhog is our hope for early spring Tradition tells us that if the groundhog sees his shadow on Groundhog Day, winter continues for six extra weeks of winter. We hope the groundhog announces the arrival of spring.
