Thanksgiving in 2013 will be celebrated on November 28. It is one of the most popular days of the year at Walt Disney World. If you plan to celebrate in the theme parks, you will want to attempt to make a reservation immediately for your Thanksgiving Day meal. If you can't get a reservation online, try calling 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463). An operator might be able to find something for you.
At some Walt Disney World restaurants, Thanksgiving will be business as usual. Others will serve special celebratory meals. Liberty Tree Tavern at the Magic Kingdom will serve a family style lunch and dinner The Diamond Horseshoe will also serve a celebratory meal. If you're at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Hollywood & Vine will have a buffet lunch and dinner. You might want to enjoy a less traditional buffet at Epcot's Biergarten Restaurant. Another buffet will be available at Tusker House Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Many of the resort restaurants will also serve special meals.
If you can't get a reservation, you can still enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving feast. Restaurants like Shoney's, Ponderosa Steakhouse and Golden Corral are located not too far from Disney and will be open on Thanksgiving Day. Many other local restaurants will also be open.
