Jared Padalecki, most known for playing Sam Winchester on “Supernatural” and Dean Forester on “Gilmore Girls,” turns 30 years old today (July 19)!
Jared Padalecki got his big break in 2000, when he landed the role of Dean Forester on The WB’s hit dramedy, “Gilmore Girls.” Dean, a love interest to Alexis Bledel’s Rory, was a popular character and helped to form one of TV’s all-time greatest love triangles (with Rory and Milo Ventimiglia’s Jess completing it). Jared appeared in most of the show’s first three seasons, while he continued to frequently appear in the fourth and fifth.
Then, in 2005, the actor landed one of the two leading roles on The WB’s “Supernatural.” He plays Sam Winchester, one of two brothers (the other, played by Jensen Ackles, is actually named Dean!) who fight against supernatural evil. The show became wildly popular and will begin its eighth season in the fall.
