Celebrate St. Patrick's day with an Italian flair - the Irish Tiramisu cocktail

See also

Kansas City seems to have hit spring, but we know March doesn't always cooperate with the sort of warm, spring weather that calls out for a blender drink. Does it matter? This yummy cocktail will be good whether or not it's a St. Patrick's Day treat, and since the recipe makes 2, there's enough to share. If you really want to...

Irish Tiramisu

  • 1/4 cup espresso
  • 4 oz. Irish Cream liqueur
  • 1/3 cup mascarpone
  • 2 cups vanilla, chocolate or coffee ice cream
  • 2-4 ice cubes
  • 2 ladyfinger cookies, sliced lengthwise
  • chocolate-hazelnut spread
  • chocolate syrup

Combine the espresso, Irish Cream, mascarpone, ice cream and ice in a blender, and blend until smooth. Drizzle chocolate syrup along the edges of two oversized cocktail glasses, and pour the mixture into the glasses.

Spread a layer of chocolate-hazelnut spread in between the ladyfingers, and pass the cookies to dip in the cocktails.
