There's no need to limit your St. Patrick's Day celebration to just one day. Raglan Road at Downtown Disney already had a preview last weekend, and the fun kicks into high gear on Thursday, March 14, with their Mighty Festival.
The restaurant and pub is always a lively place for food, drink, and entertainment, and things crank up a notch for the holiday. House band Creel and the Raglan Road dancers will be performing, and they're joined by the talented Willis Clan. Click the video toward the bottom of this article to see highlights of the performances last week, along with some of the delicious food you can enjoy.
On March 16 and 17, world-famous U2 tribute band Elevation takes to the stage. Other performers you'll see throughout the event include Girsa, Three Dollar Band, Johnny & Justin, and the Farrell Brothers.
You don't just have to be a spectator if you'd rather get in on the action. Ronan McCormick of the original "Riverdance" cast will give Irish dance workshops Friday through Sunday. Dublin-born musician Declan Masterson will leading Irish music workshops on those same days.
Want a traditional Irish meal? There are always plenty of options on the Raglan Road menu, and loin of bacon and cabbage will be served all day on Sunday for those wanting the classic St. Patrick's Day feast.
The multi-day celebration will spill out onto the walkways of Pleasure Island and all the way to the Waterfront Stage, with bands, dancing, face painting, stilt walkers, and plenty of other family-friendly entertainment. Come early, as the event is sure to draw a crowd, and parking can get competitive. That's not a worry if you're staying at a Walt Disney World resort; just hop aboard a bus.
